Exhibition of Ukrainian Wartime Art, Berlin / Rome / Amsterdam / Brussels, 2022
Initiated by Port of Culture and produced in partnership with the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, and the State Agency on Arts — four months after the start of the full-scale invasion.
Port of Culture delivered the full project:
- 200 original works — 90% created after February 24 in trenches and shelters — gathered from artists in conflict zones.
- 10,166 visitors during the European tour
- Immersive experience: in Berlin's Alte Münze, the exhibition was staged in the vaults to recreate the atmosphere of bomb shelters.
- 26,507,873 media reach, including coverage in The Guardian and other global outlets.
- Diplomatic impact: ambassadors, European Commissioners, and city mayors engaged in advocacy for Ukraine.
